Servicing & Maintenance

Heat pumps, Solar Thermal and Biomass equipment all need regularly serviced to ensure they operate safely and efficiently and that you minimize the chance of any heating or hot water downtime.

Ecoliving offers an annual service plan for domestic and commercial microgeneration installations. This preventative maintenance includes:

  • Cleaning filters
  • Testing safety valves
  • Re-charging expansion vessels
  • Testing and calibrating sensors

Air and ground source heat pump systems all need to have glycol levels checked to prevent heat exchangers freezing. Solar thermal glycol (anti-freeze) degrades over time with constant exposure to the sun and failure to re-dose can cause the system to separate or thicken in winter and cause irreversible damage.
