Contura is the brand name for wood burning stoves from Swedish company Nibe. Early in 2011 Nibe merged Handol wood burning stoves with Contura and now trade under the single brand of Contura wood burning stoves. Contura provide a range of stoves; Contura 20, Contura 50, Contura 400, Contura 500 and Contura 600 Series. Within each category are a standard model with a range of stylish finish for you to choose from eg soapstone, steel, aluminum, masonry, cast iron or glass. Some wood-burning stoves are available with a glass or steel floor plate, revolving base plates or a masonry “insert” style.
The Contura 500 Series has 11 models and can provide space heating for up to 120 square metres. The Contura 500 stove can be used as an additional heat source for average sized properties (perhaps supplementing a heat pump system) or as the main heat source for smaller properties such as a summer houses.

The Contura 600 Series stoves are highly efficient and can heat up to 150 square metres, making them suitable for large areas. The 600 Series has a contemporary look and is available in 8 models including the Contura 650, Contura 685 and many more, they can even come fitted with a baking oven or warming shelf!
